In January-April 2018, Russian pulp exports increased year-on-year, indicate the statistics published by the Russian Federal Customs Office.
Thus, during the first four months of the current year Russia exported 702,1 tonnes of pulp. That is 3.3% more than during the respective months of 2017.
The total value of the Russian pulp exported in January-April 2018 went up to $493.9 million. Therefore, the increase came up to 54.5%.
Besides, in January-April 2018, Russia exported 356,700 tonnes of newsprint valued at $172.3 million. Thus, Russian newsprint export reduced by 1.2% in volume terms year-on-year. During the same period it grew by 16.6% in value terms.
