The German producer price indices for Douglas fir changed trend in January 2023 again. On average, the index for log wood decreased by -1,6% to 80,8 points. B qualities reached the level of 94,8 points ( -3,3% ), to which 3 m lengths contributed with -2,3% to 94,5 points – and 4/5 m lengths with a gain compared to the last data filled month to 87,1 .
C qualities in January reached 68,7 points ( 0,3% ) – in 3 m lengths 79,3 ( ). B/C qualities reached 78,3 points ( -1,1% compared to the previous month).
For spruce pulpwood Destatis calculated an index of 120,3 points (2,75%). Pulpwood of pine reached 115,5 points ( 3,1% ). Douglas fir pulpwood reached 81,2 points ( 12,0% ). The softwood pulpwood index arrived at 115,3 points ( 5,8% ).
