Garnica Plywood appoints new CEO

Garnica Plywood recently named Álvaro Gonzalez as its new CEO. He succeeded Christian Michel.

Most recently, Gonzalez worked as regional director for Cosentino in the United States. He has also held senior positions at Procter & Gamble, L’Oreal and Organización Gómez de Zamora. With more than 20 years of experience working across five continents, Gonzalez skill sets range from sales to retail, marketing and logistics.

In addition to overseeing global operations and facilitating growth, Gonzalez will support Garnica’s ongoing initiatives to its growing customer base across the U.S. and Canada. 

Garnica is located in the five main basins of poplar plantations in Europe. The company has main offices and six production centers including five in Spain one in France, with a seventh soon to be added in Uruguay.
