From 21 – 23 April 2010, RESALE will open its doors for the 16th time. The organisers of the world leading used machinery trade fair once again expect more than 500 exhibitors. As in recent years, approx. 10,000 visitors from over 110 countries are projected to travel to Karlsruhe. The trade fair's results are therefore expected to continue the successful trend of April 2009. "RESALE has demonstrated its enormous resilience in a challenging business environment," says organiser Florian Hess, Managing Director of Hess GmbH in Weingarten/Baden. "It is still too early to say with certainty that the crisis is over – but it is a very good sign that exhibitors have been booking large areas in the past six weeks."

RESALE's supporting partners also provide encouragement. For the Federation of the German Export Trade (BDEx) world-wide demand for German used machinery remains unbroken. "RESALE will again be the most important date in many company diaries," emphasises Jens Nagel, Managing Director of BDEx. "The trade fair is a key forum for buying and selling used machines and, as such, is an unmissable event – especially in these difficult times." Jens Nagel adds that many new investments are currently being put under the microscope and used machines then often turn out to be the best option. He also points out that RESALE's greatest strength is the international attention it attracts. "I have seen this for myself during a large number of trips abroad," he says. Every country has strengths in certain sectors and demand for used machinery reflects this. "For example, the demand for used machines in the food processing industry in sub-Saharan Africa has grown exponentially in recent years. On the other hand, in Russia it is demand for construction machinery that has grown significantly."
