The price of wood pellets in Germany has increased by 1.7% during October 2017, as compared to the previous month.
According to data from the German Energy Wood and Pellet Association e. V. (DEPV), the price amounted to 236.64 EUR / t (for 6-tonne purchases).
As compared to October 2016, the price has increased by 4.5%. One kilogram of pellets in October 2017 costs 23.66 cents and one kilowatt hour (kWh) heat from pellets 4.73 cents. The price advantage for fuel oil is 15% and to natural gas, of about 20%.
Regional rates (decrease 6t): Southern Germany: EUR 234.15 / t, Central Germany: EUR 236.56 per tonne, North / East Germany: EUR 237.40 / t. Larger quantities (26 t) can be bought for the following prices: South: 219.15 EUR / t, Middle: 221.11 EUR / t, North / East: 216.96 EUR / t (all incl. VAT).
